The legal field is very large, and the terms "Lawyer," "law"law firm" are used interchangeably. However, the term "Lawyer" covers a wide variety of specialized professions, including doctors, teachers and judges. The field of law covers not only government agencies and private citizens but includes special interests like business firms, labor unions and professional organizations.
When speaking of Lawyers, one can assume that they are employed to represent their clients in all types of situations including criminal cases and civil suits. The legal profession is so vast that it is a complex field requiring numerous degrees, certifications and licenses. The legal field can be categorized into different sectors such as litigation, policy, government, and administrative law.
The legal industry is also very competitive, with each lawyer working hard to be one of the best. They also need to be very versatile in their work, being able to handle both civil and criminal cases. A lawyer has many different career options available to him or her, ranging from general attorneys who take on all cases in a particular area, all the way up to attorneys with expertise in criminal law.
Many individuals go to law school, but for those who want to work as lawyers, they must get a law degree. These days, the majority of students who go to law schools are going to get either a Bachelor of Science in Law or a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, although there are some law degrees that are available without a specific major. There are several different types of law degrees, and they include the following: Master's of Law; Master of Business Administration; Doctorate in Law; Doctorate in Business Administration; and Doctorate in Law.
To become a lawyer, you must complete the necessary courses to obtain your law degree and pass the Bar exam. The Bar exam is available at any number of colleges or universities and can take about two years to complete depending on the school. Once you have obtained your law degree, you can then apply to the bar to take the state exam to become a lawyer.
Lawyers have a very important job to do in our society, protecting both the rights of their clients as well as the rights of the citizens. For this reason, it is vital that you become educated and skilled in the field of law so that you will be able to provide the best possible defense to your client should the case ever reach the court.
